A lot of Vancouver lives in strata buildings, from downtown towers to three-storey walk-ups, and every building handles access a little differently. A few lines in your booking notes let your cleaner get in, park and get straight to work.

• The way in: the enterphone or buzzer number, the fob or key arrangement, and which entrance to use.
• The front desk: whether your concierge needs your permission before sending a service visitor up.
• Parking: a visitor stall and how to reach it, or where your cleaner can park nearby.
• Moving day: many stratas require the service elevator to be booked for moves. Book your move-out clean for after the movers leave, or your move-in clean for before they arrive.
• Building rules: any quiet hours or set times for service visits.

You don’t need to be home for your clean. If your building has a concierge, you can arrange to leave a key or fob at the desk for your cleaner; otherwise leave it in a safe place or a lockbox. Add the details to your booking, and tell us how to lock up when your cleaner leaves. For security, we don’t keep copies of keys.

Your cleaner arrives within a one-hour window of the booked time, and your booking confirmation arrives by email.

Many Vancouver leases turn over at the end of the month, so book your move-out clean as soon as your date is set. A move-in/out clean goes further than a regular visit: baseboards, door frames, vents and the insides of empty closets and wardrobes are wiped, and the kitchen and bathrooms get a detail clean.

Inside the oven, fridge and cabinets and interior windows can be added when you book. Tenants can share the landlord’s checklist when they book, and we’ll plan the clean around it; landlords and property managers book between tenants, with a separate booking and access notes for each unit.

Turnover cleaning resets your unit between guests: kitchen and bathrooms cleaned, floors vacuumed and mopped, beds made with the fresh linens you leave out, and trash taken out. Choose your time on the booking form and add your guests’ check-out and check-in times to your notes.

Leave a restock list with your supplies and your cleaner tops up toilet paper, coffee and other guest items at each visit. Laundry and folding can be added. Every turnover is confirmed by email, or by text if you opt in, and hosts with regular bookings can set a recurring schedule and make free changes with 48 hours’ notice.
