Our move-in and move-out cleaning is a detail clean of the empty home, planned around your landlord’s or property manager’s checklist, your key handover and your building’s elevator booking.
Tenants book it at the end of a lease, landlords between tenants, and owners before moving into a new place. Vetted, fully insured cleaners do the work, with supplies included. You see your price before you book, based on your home’s size and the extras you choose. Just renovated as well? Pair it with post-renovation cleaning.

What’s the difference between move-in and move-out cleaning?
The work is nearly the same; the goal differs. A move-out clean leaves the home ready to hand back, planned around your landlord’s or property manager’s checklist. A move-in clean clears the previous occupant’s build-up before your boxes arrive. Both are detail cleans of an empty home.
What does a move-in or move-out clean cost?
It depends on the home you’re handing back or moving into: its size, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and any extras your landlord’s checklist asks for, such as inside the oven, fridge or cabinets. Can you work from my landlord’s checklist?
Yes. Share your landlord’s or property manager’s checklist when you book and we’ll plan the clean around it and pass it to your cleaner. If it lists extras such as inside the oven or fridge, add them on the booking form so they’re included in your price.
When should I book my move clean?
A move-out clean works best once the home is empty; a move-in clean works best before the furniture arrives. Tell us your key handover, elevator booking and any condo move-in window when you book, and choose a time that fits around them.
Do I need to be there during the clean?
No. Leave a key with the concierge or in a lockbox and tell us how to lock up. For your security, we never keep copies of keys.
What if something is missed on my move clean?
Tell us within 24 hours of your appointment and we’ll come back within 5 days to re-clean anything we missed, at no cost. That’s the Hive Promise. Walk through the empty rooms before you hand over the keys, so anything missed can be put right.
Do you clean after renovations too?
Yes. Post-renovation cleaning clears the fine dust contractors leave behind, and pairs naturally with a move-in clean.
